Police successfully arrested a driver for possession of cannabis with intent to supply whilst out on their patrol.
The officers with the assistance of the BCH Roads Policing Team stopped the vehicle earlier this morning whilst it was racing another vehicle on the A41 in Watford.
After the vehicle was stopped, officers noticed that both the vehicle and the driver smelt of cannabis and the driver was requested to complete a drugs swipe procedure.
The driver failed to complete this and was arrested.
Watford Police shared details of the incident in a Facebook post.
The post said: “Whilst being searched, the driver was very fidgety with his hands around his trousers. Whilst in the back of the police car, the driver decided to kick an officer to distract their attention away from his awful attempt at discarding a large bag of cannabis from his trousers.
“The driver was further arrested for possession of cannabis with intent to supply as cash and scales were also found in the vehicle.”
