A new pop-up café is proving popular with residents and visitors to Chorleywood.
The café at the Junction on Chorleywood Common is staffed by interns from the charity Mission EmployAble, which trains young adults with a learning disability to become ‘work-ready.’
Customers of the café have already remarked on the quality of the coffee, which is brewed by newly installed machines, and on the good service provided by the young interns.
Mission EmployAble’s pop-up café is open from 8.30am – 10.30am and from 2.30pm – 4.30pm every Tuesday and Wednesday at the Junction by Christ Church.
In addition to the pop-up café at the Junction, the 30-seater Mission EmployAble café inside Chorleywood Cricket Club’s new pavilion will open in the autumn, which will also be staffed by its interns.
To find out more about the construction of the pavilion and the work the charity does, visit their website at www.missionemployable.co.uk
