Published on: 3rd October 2019   |   By: News Desk   |   Category: Uncategorized

The horses which were involved in the crash on the A41 Colne Way junction, Watford earlier today (October 3) were not injured.

A crash took place on the A41 near Meriden this morning around 6.30am which involved a Vauxhall Zafira and a horsebox carrying eight horses which overturned.

All of the horses are believed to be uninjured in the incident which required a number of emergency services to attend the scene.

The A41 Colne Way junction with Woodmere Avenue, Watford has now reopened following the earlier incident.

The closure of the road caused a build up of traffic in the surrounding areas, but traffic should be back to normal.

A second horsebox was required and arrived at the scene to take the horses that were involved in the crash.

This is the second time in a week where animals have been involved in a serious accident in the area as a truck carrying thousands of chickens overturned near St Albans on Monday (September 30).
