A boy from Bushey is delighted after achieving a Distinction in his Grade 8 piano exam.
Leo Shaw, 11, submitted his exam on August 22 and found out shortly afterwards that he had passed with flying colours.
Speaking to BusheyNews, Leo’s mum Anna said she is extremely proud of the hard work and dedication he has put into his music.
She said: “Leo started playing piano just under five years ago and for the last couple of years due to the pandemic, all his lessons have been remote.
“When he was six years old, he saw his sisters playing the piano and decided he wanted to join in.”
Anna added that Leo was delighted when he found out his exam result.
She said: “Leo was very happy. We were on holiday when we found out and it made for an extra special holiday.”
The family also thanked Leo’s piano teacher Imogen, who has taught the talented young musician from the beginning, for all her help.
