Grim’s Dyke Golf Club’s (GDGC) Ladies’ team will now represent the county following their victory in a nail-biting final last month.
On June 19, the Pinner-based team played Muswell Hill Golf Club in the Middlesex Pearson Finals at Stanmore Golf Club. After an incredibly tight match, GDGC secured the win and moved into the finals.
The team then had the task of playing Finchley Golf Club for the coveted top spot. In a tense finish, GDGC won the match and brought the Pearson Trophy home to Pinner.
They will now represent Middlesex at the Inter-County Finals at Hindhead on July 18, as PINNERnews goes to print.
The club posted on social media: “The Pearson Trophy came home with the GDGC women last week!
“Captain Colin was delighted to welcome the winning team back to the GDGC clubhouse and get his picture with our lionesses. Well done all and good luck at Hindhead in July!”
