Two football teams at a Chorleywood secondary school have been showing off their silky skills as they progress through a national tournament.
Both the Under 14 boys’ side and Under 15 girls’ side at St Clement Danes School are making their way in the English Schools’ Football Association National Cup, a competition for school sides across the UK.
The teams have both made it to the competition’s fifth round. The boys are one of the last 16 teams, while the girls are one of the last 32.
St Clement Danes students are also succeeding in other sports. The Year 11 girls’ netball team is continuing to dominate the district, having recently won their fifth consecutive championship.
Meanwhile, both the Year 8 and Year 10 girls’ athletics squads have become cross-country champions for the district.
A spokesperson for the school said: “With each goal scored, every victory celebrated, St Clement Danes School’s sporting legacy continues to grow, inspiring current and future generations of athletes.”
