The Watford-based Hertfordshire Cheetahs American Football Club are busy preparing for the 2025 season.

All of the teams, which include adult, adult flag, women, U19s, U16s, U17 Flag, and U11 flag, have attracted lots of new members, and the squads are hard at work getting ready for kick-off in April.

Last season was a baptism of fire for the adult team, however they are ready to improve their standing this year. A new offensive coordinator, Mike Muldoon, has also been appointed.

Defensive coordinator Craig Barnes said: “I have some great new players to work with after many of our club legends retired at the end of last season. I am very much looking forward to 2025!”

The women’s team also witnessed some change after a successful 2024, where they were narrowly beaten in the National Final. Head coach Jordan Legge has stepped down and Greg Ivison has been appointed to lead the team into the new campaign.

Head coach Rich Moult told WATFORDnews: “We’ve secured a number of new players, so we’re pretty confident we can compete again this year.”
