A school in Abbots Langley has been given a £500 cheque from Abbots Langley Tough Ten (ALTT) to help them buy play equipment.
ALTT takes place every year and raises funds for local residents and good causes.
ALTT committee member Pat Waterton visited Divine Saviour Catholic Primary School last month to present them with the money during an assembly. This cash will be used to help fund facilities for the children’s outdoor play.
Earlier this year, the ALTT team went to the school to find out more about their involvement in the OPAL Project, which aims to improve pupils’ playtimes to help their mental wellbeing.
Pat said: “The Divine Saviour School regularly supports the Tough Ten, both with well-drilled runners on the day and by raising the most sponsorship funds in the village.
“I was amazed to see what a wide range of facilities they provide for the children to experience outdoor play. In time, they will be able to do the risk assessment for the race!”
