Girls school in Bushey opens luxury coffee shop

Published on: 12th February 2019   |   By: News Desk   |   Category: Uncategorized

A girls’ school in Bushey has opened its doors to a brand new luxury coffee shop for parents and staff to unwind in a warm and cosy environment.

St Margaret’s school has invested in new social space, designed for parents and staff to relax in a warm and friendly environment and enjoy some luxurious refreshments post school-run.

Its name, ‘The Barn’, was chosen to reflect the history of the site itself, which had previously been a working farm.

In line with this, the facility has been purposely designed to mimic a modern rustic barn with a cosy woodland theme.

Headmistress, Rose Hardy, said: “We wanted to create a fun, welcoming space for our parents and staff, somewhere to shelter from the chilly mornings and enjoy a relaxing and social cuppa in friendly surroundings.

“We also have free WiFi available so it’s easy for parents to pop in and catch up with emails too. We are really looking forward to seeing more parents enjoying the new facilities over the coming months.”

The continued investment in St Margaret’s environment and facilities follows the recent opening of the schools brand new state of the art multi-adventure playground, which opened to pupils in September of last year.

The smell of freshly ground coffee and the lure of velvety hot chocolate, warm cookies and sticky lemon drizzle cake has been the talk of the campus since they opened their doors in late January.

Rose added: “We are really looking forward to seeing more parents enjoying the new facilities over the coming months.”
