Published on: 7th May 2022   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

Michael Sobell Hospice Charity’s Annual Plant Sale makes a welcome return on Saturday, May 14, from 10.00am – 12.00pm – an event not to be missed for lovers of all-things gardening!

Organised by the hospice’s incredible volunteer gardening team, pop along and fill your gardening boots with a variety of bedding plants, flowers, herbs, bird food, fruit, and vegetables, as well as homemade preserves. The event is free to enter but be sure to get there early to avoid disappointment.

Hot and cold refreshments will also be available to buy on the day, along with tempting homemade cakes, plus you will be able to buy raffle tickets with plenty of amazing prizes to be won.

All proceeds raised from the Plant Sale will go towards the exceptional care provided at the Michael Sobell Hospice in-patient unit in Northwood.

Commenting on the event, Sarah Alliant, Michael Sobell Hospice Charity’s Community Fundraiser, said: “We are so grateful for all the loyal support we’ve received throughout the pandemic, and are excited to welcome the local community once again to our Annual Plant Sale. All the support we receive, be it though buying a plant, or donating homemade cake, makes such an incredible difference to the people staying at the Michael Sobell Hospice and their loved ones.”

If you are able to make a donation of plants, pot plants, bird seed, gardening tools, or homemade cakes which can be sold at the event, please email: fundraising@michaelsobellhospice.org.
