A woman from Bushey and her group recently took part in Watford’s Race for Life to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. Sara Nathan and “Sara N Pipa Kick Ass 2” were back for the second year running after raising over £35,000 at last year’s event. This year, 130 women were part of Sara’s group and she told My Bushey News that once again it was a brilliant day. She said: “The race though marred by some bad weather at first was fantastic. “There were 130 of us doing the race in Kick Ass T Shirts and ten staff who helped with lunch and handing out goody bags that we had made up for the team. “Yummies in Radlett provided lunch for everyone and Wilson Fink in Radlett provided use of their van to bring everything to the park. “As we were doing the race my phone was bleeping constantly letting me know that more donations were being put on the Just Giving Page. “This year we have already raised £25,000 and the amount is still going up so we are really pleased with how it went. It means that the Kick Ass Group has now raised in two years over £60,000 towards finding a cure for cancer.”
