The Gerrards Cross community recently came together to celebrate the Party in the Park, organised by Gerrards Cross Town Council (GCTC).
Taking place on West Common on Saturday, July 1, the event was opened by famous businessman Sir Stuart Hampson and was attended by Joy Morrissey, MP for Beaconsfield, and the Leader and Deputy Leader of Buckinghamshire Council, councillors Martin Tett and Gareth Williams.
More than 40 stalls offered a variety of artisanal products and global food, including Thai, Italian, Spanish and Indian cuisines.
Local police and the fire service entertained younger guests, allowing them to get up close to a police car and a fire engine, while Jellyfish Theatre put on a fantastic performance that captivated the audience. There was also a funfair, face painting, live music, a DJ and more.
Jiya Jilani, town clerk for GCTC, said: “Picnic in the Park was an outstanding success that reinforced the spirit of community and togetherness. The event was a testament to the town’s vibrant spirit and its commitment to fostering strong community bonds.”
