It may still be chilly outside, but the organisers of the Kings Langley Puffaten race are already gearing up for the annual event this summer.
Taking place at Kings Langley Primary School on Sunday, June 16, competitors of all ages will run 1.5km or 10km around the village.
The race is an annual event, organised to raise funds for a variety of local charities, and is open to anyone willing to run, jog or even walk their way to the finish line.
The organisers are now appealing for volunteers to help marshal the event.
Organiser Alan Johnson said: “Although for many it is a fun run for the youngsters, it still has to be licensed, which means UK Athletics require some very high standards for safety and organisation, including marshals.
“This year, we will need some new marshals as some of our regulars have other commitments that morning.
“It’s not onerous, takes less than an hour, and being a marshal is ideal for anyone who wants to be part of a lovely village event.”
