A newly formed youth football team in Watford is on the lookout for residents of all ages to get involved with the club.

LGDA (Learn, Grow, Develop, Achieve) Football Club was officially formed in the 2019-20 season and aims to coach and educate football fundamentals for girls from the ages of five years and upwards in high tempo football within a safe environment.

Players train twice weekly on Tuesday & Thursday at Sun Postal Sports Club and play on a Saturday morning.

Lee Evans, Head of Coaching said: “We would love residents from all ages of Watford to get involved at the club. We are a small, family-friendly club and pride ourselves on welcoming players of all abilities and allowing them to express themselves on the football pitch and believe that they have a voice and an opinion.

“We are always on the lookout for enthusiastic FA qualified coaches (Level One and above) to join our team or even people who would like to help on a match day or referee.”

LGDA is hosting open training sessions for the Under 8s, 10s and 11s on Saturday, July 10th, 24th and 31st and encourage players of all abilities to come and see if they would enjoy themselves at the club.

Anyone who would be interested in taking part in the open training sessions, or anyone interested in sponsoring our young stars, can contact admin@londongda.co.uk

You can follow the club online on Facebook @lgdafc and Twitter @lgdacademy and Instagram @lgdachieve
