GET INVOLVED: Popular Kings Langley race returns to the village this summer

Published on: 22nd May 2022   |   By: Christina Pantelly   |   Category: Uncategorized

After a two-year hiatus the Kings Langley puffaten is back this Summer and includes races for every level of fitness.

The parish council are happy to announce the return of the puffaten as it was cancelled following the escalation of COVID-19.

The race begins at the junction of Barnes Lane and Common Lane and concludes on the Kings Langley Primary School playing field on Sunday, June 19.

There will be hot and cold refreshments available for those waiting for the runners to return.

The volunteers and authorities who ensure that the event is conducted safely, including marshals and radio communications along the route, as well as first aid help if required, are also returning.

Race director, Alan Johnson said: “As a result, the morning events have been curtailed with the 3k event cancelled in order to cover the 1.5k and 10k, it’s disappointing, but perfectly understandable.

“This is a local event for local people, and we are grateful for everyone who gives their time. We will reinstate the 3k next year and, as always, keep our fingers crossed.”

If you would like to enter, you can do so online through the Eventbrite website on bit.ly/3MCSWp9
