GET INVOLVED: Hertfordshire residents invited to take part in charity walk

Published on: 31st July 2023   |   By: Holly Bullen   |   Category: Uncategorized

Residents of Watford and the wider Hertfordshire area are invited to take part in the upcoming Memory Walk.

With one in three people born today in the UK going on to develop dementia in their lifetime, and more than 15,900 already living with the condition across Hertfordshire, Alzheimer’s Society’s Watford Memory Walk aims to help stop dementia from devastating lives.

There will be two walks – a shorter 3.5km walk or a longer 9km walk – at Cassiobury Park from 11am on Saturday, September 2.

Whether supporters walk alone or with friends, family members or even pets, they’ll be providing help and hope to people living with dementia.

Every pound raised will make a huge difference. Supporters will be walking to fund faster diagnosis, ongoing support and vital research, helping people with dementia live more fulfilled lives now and in the future.

The sponsored walk is suitable for all ages and abilities and is free to sign up. People can also choose to take on their own Memory Walk wherever they like, whenever they like, if they aren’t able to attend a hosted walk.
