A Chalfont St Peter-based football club is encouraging more children to get involved in the sport.
St Joseph’s Saturday Football Club provides all children with the opportunity to have fun with their friends and be part of a team, while learning new skills in a safe environment.
The club, which has been running for 20 years, has mixed-gendered teams which play in the Chiltern Church School League.
The community club is based at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School and teaches football to children from pre-school to Year 6.
Club secretary Hemal Shah said: “We are a club where we firmly believe in very mixed ability teams to try and give everyone some playing time.
“Not as many children are taking part in physical activities as they were before, especially girls.”
