A Hemel Hempstead netball team have put their sporting skills to good use by hosting a charity netball match in aid of The Hospice of St Francis.
Karen Pulis Netball Team (KPNT) raised just over £500 from the event, which took place on Thursday, 13 January at Ashlyns School. KPNT went head to head with KPNT Ladies, made up of the team’s mums, aunties, cousins and siblings.
The evening consisted of two friendly games of netball, music, baked goods and drinks and a raffle with prizes generously donated by local businesses including Gaffer clothing store, to raise important funds for The Hospice.
Amelia Cuell, KPNT Secretary said: “It was amazing to have such a great turnout at the match, everyone was so generous and we far exceeded the amount we expected to raise. We are proud to donate over £500 to the Hospice of St Francis, a charity incredibly close to our hearts.”
The Hospice of St Francis is a charity which helps 2,000 local people and their families, in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, to live their precious lives well through improving symptoms, achieving personal goals and helping them to feel safe.
