Residents across Croxley have been getting their binoculars out to observe local birds.
The Big Garden Birdwatch is a nationwide event which encourages communities to observe and record bird species to help monitor the health of UK bird populations.
On Saturday, January 25, Croxley Green Parish Council (CGPC) invited residents to join them at Weston Wood and Barton Way Allotments to record their sightings.
A spokesperson for CGPC said: “Your observations contribute to a vital conservation effort.”
Rangers joined parish councillor John Jowers and recorded a wealth of beautiful wildlife, from robins to blue tits.
According to the RSPB, the top three birds recorded across the country were the house sparrow, blue tit and wood pigeon.
In Hertfordshire, the order is slightly different, with blue tit being the most recorded bird, followed by the wood pigeon and house sparrow.
