Fundraising appeal in Bushey attracts huge donations

Little over a month after a fundraising appeal was launched to restore the historic bells of St James the Apostle, more than £20,000 has already been raised. The bid to restore the eight bells in the church tower was launched just before Christmas. The oldest was cast in the 15^th Century church yard, while two others date back to the Great Fire of London. Fundraisers need to hit £90,000 so the work can be carried out. A fundraising concert, called Ring Out Wild Bells, is now due to take place on February 9 at 3pm at St Pauls Church on Bushey Hall Road.
