Garston residents are invited to lace up their running shoes for the upcoming Watford 10k and 1k Fun Run.
The popular charity event, held in support of local charity Watford Mencap, promises an exciting day of racing and family fun in Cassiobury Park.
Scheduled for the bank holiday on Monday, May 6, the Watford 10k and 1k Fun Run invites participants of all ages and abilities to join in the festivities, whether you’re a seasoned runner or a family looking for a fun day out.
Mencap fundraising manager Michelle Hamilton said: “This event brings together our community in a celebration of fitness, fun and philanthropy, and we can’t wait to see everyone on the starting line.”
Registration costs £22 for the 10km race or £9 for the 1km fun run. Groups of eight or more people are eligible for a 10 per cent discount.
This year, the event is proudly sponsored by Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden. People who sign up and raise £50 will be entered into a prize draw to win a family ticket to the Harry Potter Studio Tour.
