FREE CONCERT: Northwood event for charity to wow audiences

Published on: 4th November 2019   |   By: Jason Allen   |   Category: Uncategorized

A children’s author and singer from Northwood is organising a free concert for charity, featuring a talented pianist and other singers.

Rachel Haywood is holding the concert in Saint John’s United Reformed Church in Northwood with pianist Ezra Williams and fellow talented singers.

Donations are invited to support the mental health charity, Mind, and local cattery, Convivial Cats, with their crowd-funding appeal for relocation and continued survival.

Northwood&RuislipNews previously ran a story about Rachel’s illustrated children’s books, The Adventures of George and Flora and her former concerts for charity.

Two further books are out soon, but the real George and Flora have discovered their local cattery may not be around in the future.

This Christmas, Rachel would like to help Convivial Cats, who besides giving Northwood cat-owners holidays, work in partnership with the RSPCA.

Ezra Williams is musical director and accompanist for Harrow Opera’s current production in March, Verdi’s A Masked Ball, where Rachel will be singing the role of Amelia’s servant.
