Northwood FC are preparing for a busy 2024/25 season with a new manager, new players and even a new league.
At the end of last season, Football Association officials moved the Woods into a new geographical division. After six years in the Isthmian League, the club are now back in the Southern League’s first division.
The club will now test their mettle against several new opponents, including local opposition Kings Langley, Enfield and Berkhamsted, as well as some from slightly further afield, such as North Leigh, Barton Rovers and AFC Dunstable.
There will also be several new faces at Northwood, on both the pitch and on the touchline. Most notable is the club’s new manager Scott Donnelly, who took over following the departure of Ben Bukowski for Harrow Borough FC.
The new players include Jemale McKenzie, a central defender who played at both Bedford Town and Barton Rovers; striker Jordan Antonio Brown, who has played in Germany, Canada and Iceland; and midfielder Greg Wright from Harefield United.
