A film and digital service provider has been given permission to transform a farm in Little Chalfont into a post-production facility.
Though Cross Lanes Farm is currently used by a horse livery business, staff at Digital Orchard have already been working from the former manager’s home on the farm.
The company provides digital imaging and video playback for award-winning films and TV productions, including The Avengers, Game of Thrones and James Bond films.
With permission from Buckinghamshire Council, the company will now begin demolishing existing structures on the farm for a new facility. This will include a garden court, entrance plaza, and a car park. A multi-use library and client kitchen will provide a communal work area. Two theatres will be built for audio mixing and picture grading.
Located within ancient woodland, the blueprints say the facility has been designed with the “natural scenic beauty of the landscape” in mind.
The company has promised clients will be left feeling “peace and satisfaction” after visiting.
Digital Orchard have also said the facility will create opportunities to welcome high-profile guests to The Chalfonts.
