Residents at Chorleywood Beaumont care home were seen cheering on the home side to victory along with the staff in an emotional win for the Lionesses over Germany.

The staff and residents at the Chorleywood care home have been following the Lionesses campaign throughout the Euros, which lead to the final being extra special. They never dreamt that England could bring it home!

During the match, there was tension filling the home, which worsened when the game was tie, leading to the daunting extra-time, which truly tests the players physical and mental strength. But alas, they were victorious.

Ramona Stanciu, General Manager at the home, said: “We have loved watching the Euros, we have watched pretty much all the matches. It has been fantastic to be able to cheer on all the different sides and especially England. The atmosphere in the home was electric tonight, it was wonderful to watch England’s women win and make history!”

Resident, John Walker, commented: “Oh my goodness, what an amazing match, it was so wonderful to be able to watch it here with all my friends cheering on our girls – they did us proud!”
