Instilled in Croxley is a history of community, creativity and connection, and Three Rivers District Council (TRDC) is hoping that plans for the former Red Cross centre will continue this legacy.
TRDC has published its joint vision with Croxley Green Parish Council on what the proposed new building could look like.
It includes a new parish council office and community space on the ground floor, with up to eight affordable flats on the first and second floors.
Computer-generated images (CGI) were shown to residents at a community engagement event at Croxley Green Library on Monday, July 14.
Councillor Stephen Giles-Medhurst, Leader of TRDC, said: “I am delighted that we were able to share our vision for the former Red Cross site with local residents. The proposed building has been carefully designed to fit in with the local area and to provide enough parking to alleviate pressure off the road network. It will also be a new focal point for the community with a new centre as well as providing much-needed affordable housing.”
TRDC intends to submit a planning application later this summer.
