Published on: 24th June 2024   |   By: Bryn Holmes   |   Category: Uncategorized

A trio of horses had a lucky escape after the car towing the trailer they were travelling in burst into flames near Kings Langley.

The team at Kings Langley fire station were taking part in the village’s annual carnival on Saturday, June 22, when they were called out to the incident, which occurred at around 3.20pm at the Junction between the A41 and M25.

The team, alongside firefighters from Garston and Hemel Hempstead, rushed to the scene, where they found a Land Rover car completely ablaze.

Fortunately, the horse box was unaffected by the fire. The animals had been led to safety on the side of the road while the emergency services carried out their work.

The incident was caused by a split in the vehicle fuel tank. The blaze was completely put out by 4.40pm that same day.
