Berkhamsted FC are looking forward to an exciting end to the season after their ground passed an inspection that allows them to be promoted.
The club currently play in step four in the Southern League Division One Central and have already secured a play off place.
In order to progress to step three, their stadium had to undergo an inspection.
On Friday, March 28, the club confirmed that they had passed the inspection “with flying colours”.
Improvements made at the stadium this year include a new 100-seater stand.
Director at the club Andrew Sparrow said: “Following an inspection by Southern League director David Knight, the club is delighted to confirm that the Glencar Community Stadium has achieved the standard required for step three.
“David, who was last at the club in January, said he could not believe the improvements that had taken place in such a short period of time, and was delighted with the ‘impressive spectator experience’ that is now available.”
