After a challenging year for Dolphina Gymnastics, members from the community amateur sports club have secured a range of medals.
Last year, the gymnastics group had to leave their home in Abbots Langley due to a sharp rent hike. The subsequent search for new premises proved difficult.
However, now secure in their new home at the One YMCA Orbital Community Hub in Garston since last May, the club have been busy training for a new competition.
On March 22 and 23, Stevenage hosted the National Development Grades Competition.
Dolphina Gymnastics entered contestants in the Prep 1 and Prep 2 difficulty levels.
In Prep 1, in the Age 8 and Age 11+ groups respectively, Olive Downs and Sienna Curtis won silver medals, while Billie Franklin and Anna Russel both won gold medals.
In Prep 2, Ava Franks won third place in the Age 9 group, while the Age 12 group saw Christina Anastasia win the silver medal and Nia Gladwin win the gold medal.
A spokesperson for Dolphina Gymnastics said: “Well done to all Dolphina gymnasts who competed!”
