BOURNE RUNNER: Man from Bushey takes on epic charity challenge in late friend’s memory

Published on: 7th April 2025   |   By: The Newsdesk   |   Category: Uncategorized

A man from Bushey is set to run the full length of the UK to raise money for a hospice charity.

Dan is testing the boundaries of his limits in memory of his late friend, Bradley Dunning.

When Bradley began having stomach aches, he hadn’t thought much of it. However, one month later, Dan got a call from Bradley’s wife to say he had been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

During these final months, Bradley received care from the “outstanding” Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care Watford, who also helped him with his wedding ceremony.

Dan is now embarking on a monumental journey to run the length of the UK from John O’Groats to Land’s End in 26 days to raise money for the hospice.

Attempting to run more than one marathon a day, Dan is hoping to raise £5,000 for the charity.

Dan shared: “Being part of Bradley’s last few months was something that will always stand out for me. The words of wisdom and motivation that he shared shows me that running a challenge like this is nothing compared to what people go through.

“Together, we can make a lasting impact and inspire countless others to push beyond their limits.”
