FITNESS FUNDRAISER: Kings Langley resident to complete 5,000 push ups in month-long challenge

A Kings Langley resident has taken on an epic push up challenge in support of a cancer charity completing 5,000 push ups in just one month.

Kerry Pearson decided to take part in the challenge to support Marie Curie who provide support to families who have cancer up and down the country.

This is a cause particularly important to Kerry after her neighbour’s husband Robin Hill passed away from prostate cancer.

She said: “My neighbour’s husband died coming up to about four years ago now. I used to go over with my daughter, we knew them quite well and it was really bad watching him deteriorate.”

Kerry added that she decided to push herself further and add an extra 2,000 push ups onto the month-long challenge set by Marie Curie.

She said: “The Marie Curie challenge was 3,000 but one of my friends who knew I train a lot pushed me to do the 5,000. I’ve been doing between 200 and 300 a day.”

You can donate to Kerry’s challenge here.
