Christmas is fast appraoching and it’s that time of the year where The Hospice of St Francis ask you to put on your Santa suit and choose to sprint, stroll or scoot at their annual festive family fundraiser.
On Sunday, December 15 at 10am why not join the hundreds of dashing Santas at the annual 2.5 mile Santa Dash, taking place at Riverside, Hemel Hempstead to help raise vital funds for The Hospice of St Francis.
This year, under fives are free, discounted family tickets are available and to ensure your furry family member isn’t missing out on the exercise, dogs are welcome too.
Nearly 4,000 Santas have participated since the first event in 2008, and a tremendous total raised of £199,685 overall – which contributes to the £5million the Hospice needs every year to help people in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire affected by life-limiting illness to live their precious lives well.
Lisa Glithero, Events Fundraiser said: “We are fully getting into the festive spirit as we prepare for this year’s Santa Dash in Hemel Town centre. Scoot, run, walk, skip or ho ho ho all the way to the finish line, where we’ll be cheering you on and awarding you with delicious festive treats.
“Every penny raised at Santa Dash enables us to support local people and their families who need the care our team provides in people’s homea, out in the community and here in the Hospice. Please do get as much sponsorship as you can for your dashing – we need, and love your support.”
Take part in Santa Dash and help the hospice break the £200,000 mark. Registration is free for children under 5, £5 for children 15 and under and £15 per adult over 16 plus years.
