Hertsmere Borough Council manage the election process on behalf of the borough, town and parish councils within Hertsmere.
Sam Langford, Electoral Services Manager at Hertsmere Borough Council, said: “Parish councillors are people elected to represent their local community in the running of their parish council.
“Shenley Parish Council is independent from the borough council and oversees a variety of programmes and projects, including organising social events for senior citizens, supporting local community groups, maintaining some play areas and allotments. They also represent Shenley’s interests to a wide-range of public bodies.”
The deadline for nominations is 4pm on Friday June 1.
The date for the by-election for Shenley Parish Council has been set for Thursday June 28.
