FATAL CRASH: Appeal after man dies in Hemel Hempstead collision

Officers are appealing for information and witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Grovehill, Hemel Hempstead.

Just before 9.10pm yesterday (Friday, December 16), for reasons unknown at this time, a grey Peugeot 307 collided with a block of flats in Ninian Road.

The driver of the vehicle – a man aged in his 50s– was taken to hospital for treatment but sadly passed away. No one else was injured.

Sergeant Tim Davies from the Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this devastating time and specialist officers are currently supporting his next of kin.

“We are working to establish the circumstances surrounding this collision and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or believes they saw the vehicle in the area shortly before the collision to get in touch.”
