Officers are appealing for information, witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal collision in Bushey Heath today (Wednesday, January 10).
The incident happened shortly before 9am when a blue Volkswagen Polo collided with a wall in the car park of Homecedars House in Elstree Road. No other vehicles were involved.
Officers attended the scene alongside the ambulance service, including the air ambulance.
The driver, a man in his 80s, sadly died at the scene.
Sergeant Timothy Davies, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this difficult time and they are being supported by specially trained officers.
“We are working to establish what happened this morning and I am asking any witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch. If you have a dashcam and were driving in the area, I would also like you to check it and get in touch if you spot anything that could help.
