Chalfont St Peter AFC have paid tribute to their former director of football Ted Buxton, who sadly passed away on Monday, February 5.
Ted had a storied career as a professional football coach and scout, assessing and negotiating for players working in the UK, the US, and China.
A spokesperson for the club said: “Well known throughout all levels of football, at Chalfont St Peter we were grateful for his presence on the touchline and sage advice to players and management for many years.
“Ted was always encouraging of young players and his wit and reminiscences were enjoyed by so many. We will miss him greatly. Our love and thoughts to his family at this sad time. RIP old friend.”
