Local charities and good causes were awarded more than £5,000 at the Kings Langley Carnival presentation evening.
Held at Kings Langley Cricket Club, the evening was an “opportunity to thank sponsors and people who helped out” at the carnival back in the summer.
Among those to benefit from the funds raised was the foodbank at All Saints’ Church. At the carnival, residents generously took part in a ‘bring a tin’ collection for the foodbank which was supplemented by a financial donation.
Another recipient, The Waterside Centre, has put the money towards the cost of a new minibus to provide more travel opportunities for adults with learning difficulties.
Carnival committee chair Carol Chandler said: “Although these ‘spotlight’ organisations are a new initiative, there were grants to a number of other organisations – it really was a fantastic night.”
Planning for next year’s event has already begun, with a date set for Saturday, June 21, 2025.
Anyone who would like to sponsor the event, book a stall, join the planning group or get involved with volunteering can contact the team at
