FANTASTIC: Kings Langley Cricket Club raise thousands for nets just days after creating Crowdfunder

Kings Langley Cricket Club (KLCC) raised more than £2,500 within days of creating a crowdfunding page to refurbish their nets.

KLCC need to refurbish their nets before the 2022 season. They started work to do so just as the first lockdown hit, which has left them with a partially dismantled facility that is “no use to anyone”.

They now hope to raise the £20k to turn these gravel pits into “a fantastic facility that our three senior teams and the 100-plus junior cricketers at our club need”.

By December 2, having only created the fundraiser in late November, roughly £2,500 had been raised, and the total has now reached more than £6,000.

A spokesperson for the club said: “Thank you to everyone who has supported our Nets Appeal so far.

“If we are to qualify for extra Sport England funding, we need as many people to donate as possible, so if you are a member of the club, have a family member who is or just want to see the club do well, please use the following link to donate. Every £1 helps. Thank you!”
