Ruislip-based Wealdstone FC have been fined £3,000 by the Football Association (FA) following an investigation into an incident of fan disorder in February.
Many National League fans were left shocked when missiles were thrown onto the pitch at an away game against Barnet on Saturday, February 3. There was also a pitch invasion, and one fan attacked a matchday steward.
The FA charged the Stones with “failing to ensure that spectators and/or supporters (and anyone purporting to be its supporters or followers) conduct themselves in an orderly fashion whilst attending the match”, which the club has accepted.
Wealdstone FC must now pay the fine, publish the misconduct hearing’s findings (which they have done), and announce the findings at the next home game. They have also been issued with a warning as to future conduct. The club fully cooperated with the investigation.
Four individuals who were found guilty by the Met Police of pitch encroachment and other related charges have now been given an indefinite ban from the club’s home ground of Grosvenor Vale.
