Once again, Old Amersham came to a standstill as thousands of residents and visitors came together to celebrate the annual Heritage Day.
Taking place on Sunday, September 8, many attendees arrived in true vintage style on the heritage buses.
The event featured performances from the Chesham All Girls Band, The Whitchurch Morris, The Paladins of Chivalry, Damo and The Dynamites, and Amersham Jive.
For the petrol heads in attendance, there was a gorgeous collection of classic cars along with other vintage vehicles and tractors.
Other highlights included axe throwing, alpaca and pig petting, classic Punch and Judy shows, birds of prey, and even a medieval battle.
Speaking to Amersham News, town clerk Steve Catanach said: “On behalf of Amersham Town Council, I would like to offer my thanks to the residents and volunteers who offered their support both before and during the event. Special thanks to the sponsors, The Entertainer, PQA Amersham, Dental Excellence, Tesco and Ashridge Home Care who made the event possible.”
Heritage Day will return next year on Sunday, September 7, 2025.
