Three men have been arrested following the discovery of a cannabis factories Bushey and Hertsmere.
Officers were alerted to potential grow houses at properties in Homefield Road, Bushey and Micklefield Way, Borehamwood, by the National Police Air Service (NPAS), after large heat sources were spotted.
Warrants were executed on Monday, October 18 by officers from the proactive Operation Scorpion team and the Safer Neighbourhood Team.
Inside the Bushey property, 150 suspected cannabis plants, at various stages of growth, were found and two men were arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis.
Inside the Borehamwood property, more than 110 suspected cannabis plants, at various stages of growth, were found and a man was arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis.
Neighbourhood Inspector Rachael Robertson said: “This discovery resulted in a substantial quantity of drugs being removed from circulation.
“Whatever your views on cannabis, the fact is that it remains an illegal drug and we will continue to take action against those suspected of growing and supplying it. It is a fact that drugs of all kinds are can be the catalyst for exploitation of young people and violent crime and we will do all we can to prevent this from happening.
“If you suspect criminality in your neighbourhood, please report it so that we can build up the necessary intelligence we need to take action.”
