With over thousands of Sixth Form students up and down the country finding out their A-Level results this morning, Rickmansworth and Chorleywood residents may have heard a loud cheer coming from nearby schools.

Sixth Formers from Royal Masonic School for Girls (RMS), St Joan of Arc (SJA) and St Clement Danes (SCD) have once again impressed with fantastic results.

Year after year, the students keep up with the very high standard set from previous years.

64 per cent of SCD students studying A-Levels achieved A* to B with 33 per cent of them achieving A* or A grades.

Whilst 35 per cent of BTEC and CTEC students achieved Distinction*, 19 per cent achieving a Distinction grade and 46 per cent achieving a Merit.

The school said the results are “outstanding and very impressive.”

RMS girls celebrated another year of 100 per cent A-Level and BTEC passes, with many securing top grades and the majority of students heading off to their first-choice university.

Headmaster Kevin Carson, said: “I am, as ever, delighted that our students have been rewarded with great grades and excellent university places after many months and indeed years of hard work.”

St Joan students were congratulated by the school with an increase on last year’s results.

The overall A* to A pas rate increased by 3.7 per cent and the A* to B pass rate by 4.5 per cent and the A* to C pas rate by 6.3 per cent.

A spokesperson for the school said: “This is a fantastic achievement with these examinations being taken under the new specifications and we are delighted for our students and their success.”

When received, MyNews will publish results from Rickmansworth School and with all the above schools, some results are pending re-marks, therefore the following figures are subject to change.
