Multi-award winning estate agents Gibbs Gillespie were one of several teams which took part in this week’s Rickmansworth Pancake Day Race along the High Street.
More than £4205 was raised for Watford Mencap as around 100 local people and businesses formed relay teams to race while flipping pancakes.
Philip Smith, who is a Senior Sales Consultant at the High Street based agency, said: “We were delighted to race yet again as it’s such a big date in the community’s calendar and is always really great fun. We’ve been involved with the race for more than years and every race has had its highlights.
“I was part of a team from our office which took part and it was a fantastic occasion raising money for a local charity which does incredible work across the area.”
The Gibbs Gillespie relay team which finished second overall were made up of Philip, Tom Hallt, William Curling and Isaac Wren.
Watford & District Mencap provides a range of different services for adults and children with learning disabilities, their families and carers, in the South West Hertfordshire area.
