A building and plumbing company, MP Moran, have done their bit amidst the coronavirus pandemic to support NHS staff, including nurses from Northwood.
The company have donated hundreds of PPE items to local hospitals who are running low on scrubs, masks, gloves and more as a result of the increasing pressure they are facing.
Northwood District nurses have received over 1,000 pairs of gloves, as well as 20 pairs of protective glasses and they are still currently working on additional requests to support them.
One of the company directors, Bart Murphy, is taking on the healthcare PPE shortage head on, and has smashed his target of £5,000 on his donation page.
On his donation page, Mr Murphy wrote: “I am fortunate enough to have worked in the construction industry for nearly 20 years and I’m going to use my network, knowledge and experience to help the NHS with vital supplies. Please help me to help them”
“We are really pleased that we managed to secure more PPE yesterday and we ended up delivering 2,000 extra pairs of gloves, 50 extra cover-all protective suits and 120 extra pairs of protective glasses to Northwick Park Hospital.”
