The Amersham community recently came together for the return of Kings Church Amersham FC’s popular football festival.
On Saturday, July 1, residents witnessed 118 football matches played by 61 teams from Kings Church and Westwood Park FC.
Visitors had free use of the bouncy castle, free fruit and raffle prizes supplied by Tesco, and the barbecue sizzled away all day. Ice creams were eaten and sweets from the Quirk of Amersham stand were a hit.
The event was sponsored by Mathnasium, who encouraged children to get involved with a host of maths games.
Event organiser Darren Henderson said: “It was a fantastic event, incredibly well attended, with some cracking football matches to boot! The event continues to grow from year to year. A huge thank you to Amersham Town FC for hosting us, Tesco and Mathnasium as sponsors, and to all those that contributed to making the day a success.”
