Enjoy open family garden event

Published on: 10th May 2018   |   By: Jason Allen   |   Category: Uncategorized

A garden featured in the National Garden Scheme (NGS) yellow book will open for a third time this Summer in Northwood.

A large family garden for all to enjoy, it has been planted with acers, magnolias and rhododendrons. The rare large variegated flowering tulip tree in the middle towers over the garden, while conifers and high hedges help to keep the garden very private. There are a variety of trees which appeal to many.

The opening last year was a great success and the Patels have since added clematis, an almond tree, a Persian iron wood, a forest pansy and much more besides, in order to develop the garden further this year.

Alongside the more unusual plants which give a lot of interest in the garden, the peonies and roses should be at their best.

The open garden event will take place on Sunday, May 13 from 2pm to 5pm at 4 Ormonde Road, Moor Park, Northwood HA6 2EL.

The cost is £4.50 for adults, while children go free. More information at www.ngs.org.uk
