Oliver Dowden, Member of Parliament for Hertsmere, last week convened a meeting with executives from West Midland Trains to discuss the rail service serving Bushey Station.
The meeting was in response to commuters complaints over reliability issues since London Northwestern took over the franchise in November.
Mr Dowden said: ‘I was pleased to meet with the new Managing Director of London Northwestern. I know that there has been a poor and unreliable train service in recent months at Bushey, leading to delays and frustration for my constituents. It was important to press this directly with the director of London Northwestern.’
‘I was interested to hear that London Northwestern have already taken action to improve services, including training new drivers and bringing more refurbished trains back into service. I also raised the issue of bathroom facilities and the installation of more bicycle racks and shelters at the station which I know passengers have been calling for.
‘I will be monitoring London Northwestern’s progress closely and will continue to hold rail executives to account on behalf of my constituents’
