EGG HUNT: Families invited to discover exciting Berkhamsted Easter trail this month

Published on: 5th March 2024   |   By: Bryn Holmes   |   Category: Uncategorized

Rectory Lane Cemetery in Berkhamsted will host an Easter Discovery Trail for families at the end of this month.

Children can follow the trail, which will take place from 10am to 1pm on Saturday, March 30, using an illustrated clue card created by artist Lizzie Martell.

On completion of the trail, children will be rewarded with a chocolate Easter egg. They can also keep the clue card as a memento to colour in at home.

Back in 2022, 114 visitors enjoyed the cemetery’s first Easter trail, and it is hoped that even more members of the community will take part in the event with friends and family this year.

Ranger Kate Campbell said: “The cemetery is a great place for a trail, with its sculptures and towering trees, beehive and wooden xylophone that always capture the imaginations of our younger visitors.

“We are so grateful for the illustrated clue card that Lizzie Martell has created for us and that we know children will love.”

All proceeds from the Easter Discovery Trail will go towards the upkeep of Rectory Lane Cemetery.

Pre-booked tickets cost £3.50, and tickets on the day cost £6.50. To book, visit the website.
