A Croxley resident and Parish councilor has installed solar panels on his roof in order to make his home more sustainable and energy-efficient.
Andrew Gallagher decided to install solar panels on his roof, after living in his home for 30-years and thinking about making the switch for a decade.
Andrew Gallaher told CroxleyNews: “My wife and I have always been energy conscious and looked into how we could improve our home. The next obvious step was to install solar panels.”
They have 14 solar panels on the roof which generate around 5-kilowatt hours of electricity at maximum. The eco-project cost around £9,000 and over 25-years, the panels should repay about three times what has been invested.
Andrew is leading a working group of the parish council, working with local residents to look at how we can all reduce our carbon emissions. He is passionate about educating people on how we can all find solutions to use less energy whilst still enjoying life.
