A group of local motorcyclists have helped to collect and deliver more than 300 Easter eggs to patients in hospital.
The Dacorum Motorcycle Riders Group (DMRG) was set up by former Abbots Langley parish councillor Jon Andrews in 2019. It has now grown to more than 500 members who regularly take part
in charity rides and provide gifts to patients at Watford General Hospital.
Their most recent charity effort saw them collect more than 300 Easter eggs and gifts and deliver them to hospital patients on April 9.
New members are welcome to join the DMRG, who also organise donation drives at Halloween and Christmas.
Jon told ABBOTSnews: “I’m really chuffed how it’s gone over the years. It’s continued to grow. I couldn’t do it without my friend Gavin King, and Emily Theobald from Raise charity.
“I’m also so grateful and happy with the response we get from the community. They donate a huge number of gifts, and we are always humbled by their generosity.
“We welcome anyone who wants to join DMRG; all you need is a bike.”
